The hottest part of summer is nearly here, and we just can’t wait. It’s the Jas Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience, also known more simply as JAS. The event, which will be held Labor Day Weekend, September 4-6, is three days of world-class music and fun.
Jazz Aspen Snowmass is much more than a spectacular line up of world-class singers and musicians. It is a community-oriented event incorporating emergent artists, exotic foods, artisans, crafts, and much more for one of the most exciting and memorable events of the season.
This year, crowds of up to 11,000 people per day will enjoy performances on two stages. Artists will include headliners No Doubt, Hozier, Lenny Kravitz, The Fray, Fitz and the Tantrums, and Jimmy Cliff. A mix of emergent singers and musicians round out the event and keep the music going and crowd dancing while and providing attendees the chance to be among the first to hear new talents making waves on the music scene.
Need a break from the music? No problem. The JAS Village is a phenomenal collection of food vendors with options befitting an area with a sophisticated and highly competitive food culture. Visitors enjoy wining and dinning their way through the area’s finest dishes created by renowned chefs. While finding unique and sumptuous food is not a problem at JAS Aspen Snowmass, having the time to try them all, might be. We suggest starting the party early and having a strategy to try the most talked-about dishes.
All of the best Colorado events include a great mix of offerings and the Labor Day Experience is no different. Where we bring together world-class performers and amazing food, we also incorporate artisan crafters offering one-of-a kind works in various mediums and genres.
One of the best things about the three day event is that it is for everyone. In addition to being family friendly, there is a great kid’s corner where the interests appeal to the younger set. Here, kids enjoy juggling, face painting, displays, demonstrations, and performing arts activities.
While we might be one of the few places that celebrates the end of summer (after all, winter is just around the corner which gives us another reason to celebrate), we do it in style. You just can’t beat great music, wonderful food, unique shopping, and great friends all in one beautiful outdoor venue.
