World Bartender Day you say? Well, that’s easy. Today we’re highlighting just a few of our stand out Limelight Lounge bartenders. Join us in celebrating each of them that make our Lounge’s so special!

Limelight Snowmass

Charley Whitman 

First, we have Charley Whitman of Limelight Snowmass. As our most tenured bartenders at this property, Charley embodies the Limelight mentality around teamwork! His favorite cocktail is a Porch Swing.

Porch Swing 

Great for: summer cookouts, backyard hangs with friends, golfing

Ingredients 

  • 1 1/2 OZ. Straight Bourbon Whiskey
  • 3/4 OZ. Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 OZ. Honey
  • 6 OZ. Peach Tea

Instructions 

  • Combine ingredients into a tall glass and stir.
    Garnish with a slice of peach or lemon wheel.

Limelight Aspen

Rob Aurand 

Rob Aurand of Limelight Aspen is a talented bartender who brings joy to all of our guests with his witty humor and amazing cocktails. His cocktail of choice is a Sidecar.

Sidecar 

Great for: Dinner parties, post-beach days, summer soirées

Ingredients 

  • 1 1/2 ounces cognac
  • 3/4 ounce orange liqueur (such as Cointreau)
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • Garnish: orange twist
  • Garnish: sugar rim (optional)

Instructions 

  • Coat the rim of a coupe glass with sugar, if desired, and set aside.
  • Add the cognac, orange liqueur and lemon juice to a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
  • Strain into the prepared glass.
  • Garnish with an orange twist.

Limelight Ketchum

Jody Patterson 

Last, but not least, we have Jody Patterson from Limelight Ketchum. When not behind the bar creating unique and carefully crafted cocktails for guests, she’s snowboarding, paddle-boarding and climbing the mountains Limelight Ketchum calls home. Originating in New Orleans during the prohibition era, the Vieux Carre is Jody’s cocktail of choice.

Vieux Carre 

Perfect for: Poker nights, nightcaps at local speakeasies, a drink with the parents

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 ounce George Dickel rye whiskey
  • 3/4 ounce cognac
  • 3/4 ounce sweet vermouth
  • 2 teaspoons Benedictine liqueur
  • 4 dashes Dale DeGroff’s pimento aromatic bitters
  • Garnish: maraschino cherry or lemon twist

Instructions 

  • Add the rye whiskey, cognac, sweet vermouth, Benedictine and bitters into a mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled.
  • Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice or a cocktail glass.
  • Garnish with a cherry, a lemon twist or both.
