Aspen Gran Fondo

June 14, 2014

Steep climbs, rolling hills, flats—and striking scenery everywhere. This 55-mile group ride has something for everyone. Hosted by the USA Pro Challenge and Aspen Silver Cycling, the Gran Fondo follows the same route used as Stages 1 and 2 of the 2014 USA Pro Challenge, and the event includes a group ride led by top national cyclists.

Aspen Backcountry Marathon

26.2 miles isn’t enough of a challenge for you? Throw in the ascents and descents of the trail and top out at 10,148 feet. Ignore your burning lungs by focusing on the amazing views as you circle Aspen and Snowmass.

Swim 800 yards indoors at the Aspen Rec Center. Bike 17 miles roundtrip to beautiful Maroon Bells and back. Run 4 miles around the Aspen Golf Club.

First Annual Grand Traverse Mountain Run & Bike

Aug. 16, 2014

Skiers have raced this route since 1998; now runners and bikers can follow the 40-mile epic from Crested Butte to Aspen with supported aid stations. It’ll be hard not to stare at the stunning wilderness vistas, but keep an eye on the trail.
